Disclaimer: This is my first time having a Biere de Garde.
Serving Type: Bottle to tulip.
Appearance (4.00): Light copper in color, with white head. The head dissipates rather quickly but easily comes back with the twirl of the glass.
Smell (3.75): Definitely malty, with a bit of earthiness.
Taste (3.75): Again, malty, slight bitterness and almost a copper-ish aftertaste. Not sure if that is intentional or a defect. Either way, it's just discernable and not too distracting.
Mouthfeel (4.00): Nothing to complain about here.
Overall (4.00): I'd definitely try this again but I was only able to come by it through an unusual circumstance and I don't think I will have the opportunity to try it again any time soon. Also, it came in a 25cl bottle... which comes out to about 8.5 ounces.

A 750 ml bottle picked up in Sarreguemines, France. Pours clear copper beer with medium head. Smells fairly of wheat and hay. Aroma is sweet, wheat comes through, good, solid body, finish is good too. A decent beer, but performed less than expected. Much better Belgians to be had from the same region and same price scale.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
