Cork and caged 0.75 litre bottle opened on 31st Dec 2012. It being the French beer chosen in my 'Drinking around Europe' evening for New Year.
Good looking beer: reddy brown to dark amber in colour, the head a full, deep covering of off-white foam.
The aroma was malty, semi-sweet and fairly thin (meaning weak).
The taste was predominantly malty also, with a true hop bitter finish. The body depth suited the beer strength nicely and held the alcohol well. A little one dimensional in its complexity but enjoyable none-the-less.
