Surprising.
Not the stout I was expecting.
Slightly sour but not like an IPA.
Overall, slightly disappointed.
Maybe a Blond Ale, but not a stout

It's blonde and it's foamy. Stark white foam takes up almost half of the upper part of the clear glass liter mug, after the attempt to empty a pint can's contents into it. Blonde stout?, never has this much stark white foam been associated with anything deemed a stout. Like almost every other ale barley malt deprived, the foamy mess recedes unevenly and unattractively, leaving irregular lacing inside the glass. Other than that, it has the look of a cloudy mass produced adjunct lager. There's only a vague starch and hop smell to be had and it's not pronounced. There's nothing notable about this, as it tastes like many other bland American Pale Ales. Not disparaging American Pale Ales, just referencing that there are some bland ones and this is amongst them. It has a light semisweet body and it lacks any hop bite. It's drinkable in the pound a beer way, but there's no reason to look for this as a taste treat.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is blonde, slight haze, head is off white and presents 1 finger thick, fine bubbles, head dissipates to thin top with some lacing.
Smell is creamy like vanilla cream ale, maybe some light neutral malt, no roast, no chocolate malts.
Taste is similar with a cream ale like flavor, limited malt character, vanilla, no roast/chocolate/toast.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall - this brew either changed recipe from the previous review or its just a different beer being described, regardless a 'blonde' stout ale that is really more of a blonde ale with vanilla.

On tap at the brewery.
A - Pitch black like engine oil with cream colored dense lacing.
S - Dark roasted chocolate char and deep roasted malt aroma.
T - Dark roasted chocolate malt, charcoal, char, delicate smokiness, and lingering roasted malt.
M - Thick with light pricklies.
O - An easy drinking and solid stout.
