Enjoyed on tap at a local Whole Foods. Crisp, smooth, citrusy. A very tasty Pale ale. Will look for this one again!

Canned in a big 440ml crafty craft can
Pours a hazy light wheat coloured body with massive thick white head
Aroma is caramel and salt water taffy

A - Opaque light to medium orange color with a healthy layer of bright white cream foam on top. Carbonation is light and the foam is sticky.
S - Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit forward but not overly strong. Is light to moderate on the overall aroma but juicy in character.
T - Citrus, some tropical fruit rind, a little bit of lime, some tropical spiciness. Finishes on the fruitier side with a nice lingering fruit spice and apricot.
M - Full bodied and chewy, dry on the front of the tongue but otherwise wet.
O - A solid IPA worth checking out.

Saucony Creek Brewing Co. "Unicorns Riding In Hot Air Balloons"
$12/32 oz. crowler @ Saucony Creek Brewing Company + Gastropub on 09/28/2019 and sampled on 09/29/2018
Notes via stream of consciousness: Typical NEIPA appearance with a cloudy golden-orange body that looks like a glass of juice topped by a short cap of creamy bright white foam. The aroma is resinous, a little "dank" but not too much, and fruity with citrus (orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit) and otherwise tropical fruits (guava, mango), berries, and a hint of pine. I'm guessing based on the berry note that there might be some Mosaic hops involved here but I'm not sure. It's not the brightest of NEIPA aromas but it's certainly clear and welcoming. As usual the flavor follows, and the berry note remains along with a good amount of orange/tangerine, the lemon/lime, and a bit of dried apricot. It's lightly sweet due to a basic golden malt component that doesn't distract from the hops in any way, and it's got a median to moderate bitterness that balances it nicely, leaving it easy to drink but still balanced and dry in the finish with some citrus pith and piney and earthy notes lingering. The head has held up well, and there's some thin but nicely spread out 'spider-web' lacing left behind. In the mouth it's medium-light ion body but it feels a little fuller due to the extra proteins. It's a touch bristling at first but as it warms in the mouth it softens to become smooth. Overall it's pretty nicely done and they've hit the "juicy" NEIPA style perfectly.
