Our newest hazy starts with a backbone of oats, wheat and lightly kilned malts then dosed multiple times with heaps and heaps of hops. Trippadelic has mild bitterness and a thick luscious mouthfeel. With fresh, juicy tropical hop flavors this free-spirited beer will surely elevate the mind.

Saucony Creek Brewing Co. "Trippadelic Hazy IPA"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 03/08/22 12:03" and sampled on 06/30/22
Notes via stream of consciousness: The label lists it at 6.4% but that's all we get other than that it's a hazy IPA. The body is a very hazy golden beneath a two finger thick head of white. The aroma isn't that bright but it gets by with some tropical fruitiness and hop resins. The flavor is fuller of course, and the malt is sweetish but balanced by a firm bitterness. It's grainy, bready, and wheaty. The hops delivers some orange, sweet berry, grapefruit, minty herbs, and soft resin. In the mouth it's medium bodied and smooth due to all of the extra proteins from the wheat (and oats?) and a moderate carbonation. I'm almost completely through the glass now and the head has held up quite well. I have a solid, creamy, and complete surface covering and there are interestingly shaped patches of lacing above. I can't say that there's anything even remotely new about this IPA, nor is it really that exciting, but it is solid and you could enjoy a few of these in a row if you wanted to.

A - Hazy medium orange colored pour with thick, soapy, bright white lacing.
S - Light tropical fruit with some hits of oatmeal on the nose.
T - Light, delicate tropical fruit with a little bit of green vinous character, and grapefruit. Ends balanced with a slight bit of sugary residue lurking in the background.
M - Big medium body, borderline thick with a pillowy soft texture.
O - A solid IPA that sits directly in the middle of the pack. Unobtrusive and easy drinking. (That's not a bad thing.) As you work through the beer there is a build up of hoppy resin and by the end of the can, it's a hoppy, resin bomb.
