Pours a dark orange, pretty much clear, with fine head.
Smell is not at all what I expected, as it starts with a bourbon note and continues with orange, pine and citrus peel.
Taste is fruity and citrusy upfront with the bourbon note from the nose lingering in the background. Also some heat from the alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium, but under carbonated.
I've liked everything I've tried so far by Partizan, but I don't know if something went wrong here. This is described as a New Englnd IPA, and it just isn't. It's closer to the stuff Innis & Gun makes with the oaky bourbon notes. No juicyness and very un-tropical. Still pretty good, just not what it says it is.
