Blue Line Brewery

Roadside brewpub next door to a McDonalds on the main drag. Small straight bar on the left side of the building seats 8, with a few tables about the room and a driveway patio. 6 beers on tap. One and done...

I love, love, love this place. A little hidden gem that we accidentally found after hiking a year ago and have gone back to since. Place is Boston in the Adirondacks. The dining room is filled with sports memorabilia from all four Boston teams. Despite my living in Massachusetts, I am not into all of their teams, so no impact on me but be ready for the onslaught of all things Sox and Pats. They have about eight of their own beers on tap that represent a wide range of styles. I had a chili lager--really well done and an English ESB that was superb. The food is outstanding pub fair. The mushrooms and the pretzel bites are delicious and the pizza is creative and fantastic. I had a chicken marsala pizza. Who knew--but great. I kinda think of Blue Line as the Little Engine that could. Not as much hype as other Adirondack breweries but wow--good stuff--also very reasonably priced.

 

 

 

Pretty basic place on the road into Saranac.
I think this was previously a laindromat if not a gas station. Long skinny interior.
Reasonable selection of average beers, but nothing stood out.
Selection of bar food.
Good quick stop for a beer.

 

Visited during the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival 2017. Had a flight of the current selection. Good stuff!
