16 fl oz. can, canned 08/08/23. A new beer and a new brewery to me from Chicago, I was intrigued by the name of this brewery, and I love checking out new breweries, especially local. Caught the 4pk of these at the local Binny's.
A: Color is crisp & golden orange, decent clarity, small finger of thing soapy bubbly white head, some ok clarity, it actually looks very decent, very on point for the style.
S: The nose on this thing is insane. Literally the embodiment of the life cycle of a grapefruit; you would think someone had just spliced one open for you. Huuugely bitter, fruity, fleshy - you can smell all elements of the grapefruit; the flesh, the juice, the rind, it's all here.
T: The bitterness & fruitiness of the grapefruit melds so perfectly well with the hop profile here. Bitter, fruity, sweet, lots of rind flavors. Bready biscuit / honeyed malt is there for balance.
F: Smooth & crisp, good bitterness / hop resins on the finish. Very medium-bodied, with good carb.
Overall, I was actually super impressed by this one. Would def be interested in picking up more from this brewery .. If you like grapefruit, this is the beer for you.
