A: A reddish dark amber in color with a very large tan head.

S: Crystal malts, and biscuit notes with some floral and earthy notes.

T: Biscuit and bread up front with a touch of pine, as well as an earthy finish.

M: Medium thick in body with high carbonation.

O: Overall a decent brew.. I think the hop character, but there is almost a touch of a tannic note. Carbonation is high for the style, but doesn't distract too much.

Bad Wolf is an amazing craft beer company and this is one of the best beers they make. It tastes great, good amount of hops with an amazing color and smell. Very deep and dark. Try their other stuff, its all good.

Edit: 5/17/2022 RIP Jessie and Jessie's Girl. He no longer works there and has moved to electrician work. Also, the original owner has also departed. And now this beer has retired however you might find it back if you consistently go the Bad Wolf. It had so much promise, I still vouch for it and hope not to forget the good times and great brews.

This is where it all started for me.

My next door neighbor is a beer lover. In his basement, he has a rack of glasses exclusively used for drinking beer. He has a mini-fridge filled with beer, and he recently bought a kegerator. I used to see him getting out of his car after work carrying a growler from a local micro-brewery. He said he wanted to have a beer-bud, someone with whom he could drink and talk about beer with. So he gave me a glass of Jesse's Girl.

I had never been a beer lover. I didn't develop a taste for beer until well into my 30s. Whenever I drank beer, which wasn't very frequently, I'd just get something from the supermarket. It never mattered which. But this was something different. It had a distinct smell, a smell I'd never experienced from a bottle. It had a sexy dark orange-ish color, and that taste. Oh! that taste. It was so good. I went back and got my own growler of this the very next day.

I'm inexperienced. I'm not a sophisticated beer taster or reviewer. I don't know the taste of hops from barley. I'm new at this so take my review with a grain of salt (and a slice of lime). But every beer I have in the future will be compared to this. I really like this beer.
