Best Beer. Period.
Last year just before cinco de mayo, BadWolf Brewing Co. produced this Jalapeno IPA. Before I go on, it's not spicy. The jalapeno is associated with spiciness. I can't handle very spicy foods and certainly not beer. But the seeds and innards of the pepper are removed thereby generating the distinct taste of the jalapeno without the heat.
And that little twist makes this my all time favorite beer. I love this stuff. It's a solid IPA. It pours out a nice rust color with a decent head. It has a strong smell of IPA with just a hint of jalapeno. The taste is similar. You have that awesome IPA taste but with just a little hint of jalapeno taste.
So you can all stop making beer now. The craft has been perfected.
They don't make it very often. They made it in May 2014 and then again in July when Mexico was playing in the World Cup. Then they made it again for Cinco de Mayo this year. I always check their website and facebook page to see what's available, and when the Jalapeno IPA is on the board I go in there with a growler in each hand.
