Very opaque with minimal froth. Beautiful amber color which .Top notch bottle art, not dated, but pretty sure it's fresh because Wegman's here has a good pipeline with local brewers . Bottle says 150 IBU 8.2% ABV. I don't know specifically what that high IBU # represents but this is not bitterly hoppy. . Kind of a soapy mouth feel with the hops being great and something missing behind it maybe the yeast ( not a brewer, don't know) but malt seems proper and tasty too.
I would have guessed the ABV of this beer at 15%. In between Dogfish 120 (bright when fresh) or a Devil Dancer(barleywine-ish) , a big sipper that drinks like a mixed drink. Shaking my head at the 8.2 ABV on this.
Almost great beer. Will try to buy more tomorrow morning. The brewery had some other bottles there too and will try them and probably try to visit soon. 22 oz. for $10 seemed expensive now it seems cheap.
