Drank from a one pint can
Served in a becker
Thanks to my dad for hooking me up with this.
A bubbly, four-finger tall mass of cream colored foam topped the cloudy, yellow ochre body. The head quickly dropped to a frothy, sea foam cap. Some odd shaped patches of lacing trickled down the glass after each sip.
Orange notes were front and center in the aroma. Loads of juicy orange flesh and freshly zested orange peel. Maybe some tangerine as well. Touch of biscuity malt character. Fairly sweet. There was an odd, plastic-like quality as well. As the beer warmed, the juicy orange notes and the sweetness intensified.
The flavor profile followed the nose. Orange notes again dominated. Tons of juicy orange flesh and zesty orange peel. Some tangy tangerine was apparent too. Citrusy hops were noticeable, but it was difficult to differentiate the hops from the citrus addition. Bready, biscuity malts came through as well. The odd plastic-y quality that was noticeable in the aroma was also detectable here. More orange rind on the back end and the finish. Bit of lingering bitterness from the hops and the citrus rind.
Terrific smooth, fluffy mouthfeel. The liquid contained a larger bubbled, fairly aggressive effervescence that turned creamy and slick on the palate. Full bodied for the style. The sugars in the beer left a slightly sticky film on my lips.
This strangely named, orange and tangerine-infused pale was super tasty and refreshing and would be absolutely crushable on a warm day. Through all the citrus, I could tell that the base beer was solid too. All in all, a great effort by an under appreciated Connecticut brewery.

From the can, this looks like a brand new release according to Instagram. Comes out pretty hazy and golden. Sweet malt aroma, some bitter hops, definitely getting citrus rind. Flavor is pretty sweet and juicy, I feel like maybe there's some wheat in here or something it's got a pretty solid body. Citrus comes out on the back end, maybe some bitter hops swirling around. A nice summery Pale Ale, but the body is a bit much and I'm not getting a lot of hops.
