Poured from an undated 16oz can to a diagonally cut tumbler at apporx 45F.
Pour stream is rougly the color of cola, in the glass it appears a darker, but redish on the edges. The head is quite impressive though. Almost an inch thick made completely of tiny bubbls as if it was nitro dispensed. This fades as the minutes pass, but glass tilts bring the head back as coating on the freshly exposed areas of the glass.
Aroma is mild but malty and a little sweet.
Taste is a bit of a let down after drinking alot of Founders Porter this week. I wish I could analyse it better, but it just seems like a watered down version of the Founders with the chocolate notes missing.
Mouthfeel is also thin for the style.and despite the head, I think it could use more carbonation.
Overall, nothing horrible, just not great.

16 oz. can
Pours nicely, but head just disappeared quickly.
Not much to smell.
Taste is good - nothing stand out, but pleasant overall. Light mouthfeel, easy to drink.
Overall a good beer, price is ok, worth a try.

Poured from a pint can into a tankard. Thin caramel colored head, no lacing. Body of the beer is coal black. Nice malty aroma. The firs sip is a bit sweet, but the mouth feel is thin, not what was expected. I've had much better versions of this style.

16 oz can dated 10/18/19 with a sticker on one of the 4-pack cans.
Black color and opaque with a moderate-sized creamy brown head. Good head retention. Loads of roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma. Hint of coffee. Milk chocolate really comes out in the flavor, while the roasted malts take more of a backseat. It has a creamy feel to it with a slight bitterness at the end of the finish. Definitely on the sweeter end of the spectrum, maybe some residual sugars present. Medium-full bodied. Overall, not a bad version of the style but I'm ready to switch it up after just one of these. I don't think the 16 oz serving style suits it well. A normal 12 oz serving would have been fine.

The can pour is jet, opaquely dark and nearly without visible effervescence. The aroma is lightly tinged with toasted malt and a hint of licorice. The flavors include caramel and chocolate malts and is not overly sweet. The body is a bit thinner than others I have enjoyed, but this is a pleasant pour.
