Copenhagen 13/5 2018. 50 cl bottle from Den Gamle Købmand, Skt. Annæ Plads, Kbh K. Evil looking Jesus with red eyes and all the unholy Paraphernalia. Cute take on the ABV by the way.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big light tan head. Settles as a 1,5 cm thick layer of dense foam. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is sweet and lightly roasted and with strong citric notes. Solid sweet and roasted malt base. Grapefruit and citrus coming from the Hops.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick texture.
Flavor has a fairly strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Lingering.
Solid take on a Black IPA finding the balance between a roasted malty backbone and a generous amount of hops. Hail Satan.
