February 2018: 500 ml bottle, Christmas 2017, from Ales By Mail. Rum raisin porter. ABV is 5%. 40 IBU. Nearly black colour, large beige head. Pleasant aroma of rum-raisin and mild spices, also lightly roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, again with rum-raisin and fairly distinct spices, the roast malts are now more distinct with notes of coffee and chocolate. Fairly sharp bittering hops in the aftertaste. Good beer.
