Thoroughly enjoyed from the 500ml in a Rhinegiest snifter. This bottle was a gift from a new friend who came from England to visit the little lady's family here, and upon hearing we loved beer brought us something truly special for our session----Cheers Ian!
This CAMRA real bottle conditioned ale pours nice bright straw color with tinges of amber, a light white head that dissipates away to a thin ring and light lacing. Nose of light herbal and bittering hops, mild light caramel malts, and a light dash of grain. Flavors follow the nose quite nicely with bittering and herbal hop profile to the sides and back mingling nicely with a lightly sweet caramel malts, a hint of light grain, and a light bitter aftertaste. Smooth drinkability, and low carbonation makes for a slick quenching mouth feel finishing lightly wet/semi dry and delicious.
Bottle notes the use of Columbus and cluster hops.
A collision of American blonde and English real ale styles, would love to have this on a firkin. Very nice. A fantastic gift from a new friend and fellow beer connoisseur.
Cheers mate!
