This American-style IPA is fermented with Brettanomyces wild yeast, or "Brett" as we brewers like to call it. The result is a slightly tart & totally groovy IPA loaded with citrus and berry characteristics thanks to a far out amount of American & New Zealand hops.

Pours an effervescent gold with a thumb pearl colored head. Nice head retention & pretty good lacing
S: Grassy, a touch of funk, plus pears and tropical fruit
T: Follows the nose, peach & a little pineapple as well up front, along with dryness. Dryness, whispers of brett, & pears as this warms. Finishes dry with a touch of pineapple & blueberry
MF: Medium body, lightly carbonated, pretty good balance
Pretty drinkable. True Brett fans will be underwhelmed, but this hit the spot

12oz canned 3-20-19
Deep shade of gold, clean with a 1/2" white head that has decent retention and hangs on as a solid cap. Light lacing.
Sharp, funky note straight off with a hint of the horse blanky. Ripe citrus under that, oranges and lime, and green apple.
Tart berries and citrus and a medicinal/phenolic taste middle to late.
Fine mouthfeel with a nice tart pop that wakes up the palate and a pleasant lingering bitterness.
Unique, very enjoyable...I'll have it again.

2018 vintage (canned 04/05/18) nabbed at a beer store in Austin, TX.
"India Pale Ale." 6.2% ABV. OG 13.2 Plato. IBU 33.
Pineapple, pine, herbal hop notes, marmalade, mild brettanomyces funkiness.
Pale malts and (probably) cara or crystal malt anchor this ale, but it isn't as assertively hopped as it ought to be given the intended style.
A pleasant but not dazzling attempt to fuse IPA with brettanomyces yeast, though it doesn't commit as much to the latter as they seem to want us to believe. A bit of a marketing gimmick of a beer, but not entirely unsuccessful for what it is.

Pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with white fizzy head. Tropical citrus, a little pine, and some funky brett on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a hint of tartness.
