On draft at What’s On Tap, NRH, a very malty looking and smelling. Has a good head. A cousin of my beloved Mosaic from Community, Dallas. It has less malt but slightly hoppier. It’s smooth and slightly sweet. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy. Crisp and tasty. Overall a great brew from Community. I’ll be looking for these at the Total Wine store.

Appearance: Arrives a somewhat hazy amber color with a one finger head that leaves some spots behind

Smell: Caramel with apricot and tangerine tones

Taste: Caramel forward with the apricot flavor building; tangerine, through the middle, but the finish has a bitter, astringent character

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Wow, was this a disappointment as I recall enjoying the Mosaic IPA; the finish almost made this undrinkable

A 16-oz can, bought at Austin TX Whole Foods. Canned 11/18/19...2 months old.
Poured in a pint glass. Clear copper, w excellent 3/4" foamy head...dissipates to a skim after a couple minutes. Glass lacing very good.

Taste is piney & grassy, the unique, classic bready & resiny character of Mosaic, w a piney finish. ....astringency is very low for an 8.6% -- nice job! Not bitter, very slightly sticky aftertaste.
Reminds me a little of Block 15 Sticky Hands, though a little more expensive at $16/4pk, and not as fresh a sample as I'd prefer, either. So pretty impressive.
Among local market offerings, IMO it is worth the premium price. Any fan of the classic west coast IPA will enjoy this one.
**Side note: This beer is currently voted only an 88??? ...while local peer 'Lone Pint Brewery' Yellow Rose Smash IPA (also a Mosaic IPA, and also $16/4pk of pints) ) is voted a 98 ?!? That is insane, utter garbage.

16oz can, tulip, canned 11/18/19.

Dark amber highlighted goldenrod. The head is tall, beautifully sticky, and a yellowed parchment color.

I have a hard time describing the aroma of Mosaic hops, but it’s so delicious. Intense white grape juice, perfume, jasmine, mango, orange creamsicle.

It tastes an awful lot like it smells, but more fruit than perfume here. Mango, banana candies, orange oil. Hop bitterness is high and lays heavy on the tongue.

I would like more carbonation; I think it would make the flavors pop. The texture is creamy.

The standard Mosaic IPA is a really good beer. This turns things up to 10.5, but not 11. Worth it if you’re a Mosaic fan and so is fresh regular Mosaic.

Thanks @Nachos4two for this one. Pours a slightly cloudy dark orange with a tiny head that leaves wonderful rings of lace after each sip. 4.25

Smell is pineapple, tangerine, caramel, apricot, tea leaves, and just a hint of grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows pineapple, tangerine dominate upfront with caramel, apricot, and just the slightest hint of grapefruit. 4.25

Mouthfeel is big and slightly sticky but not dry, gentle carbonation, and at 8.6% ABV goes down very easy. 4.5

Overall this is really tasty, not a NEDIPA but it does have a ton of tropical flavor with some maltiness to round it out. 4.25

From a 16oz can. Pours a dark amber with a finger of off-white head. Piney hop smell with a hint of citrus. Creamy and sticky feel. Big earthy and pine resin flavors. Very tasty!

It's been awhile since I've had a regular Community Mosaic, but I found this version to be no different.

4 pack of 16oz cans not dated

A beautiful hoppy ipa with more than enough mosaic hops. It opens a fruity and balanced ipa with a spicy backbone. All together an enjoyable ipa experience for any level of beer consumer.

A dry-hopped, lemony version of regular Mosaic. I think I prefer the regular Mosaic. This one is more lightly citrusy and peppery, with dried cracker bread. The first can was the best (got a 4-pack on site). A couple days later a second can, and it was good. Now I got to the 3rd another day later and I can’t say it’s grown on me. Quite the contrary. I wish it weren’t the case. It’s good, but not great. Finishes dry and peppery. I wish more rounded fruit flavors were present, and it could be sweeter (whether from fruit notes or from malts). The fruit notes present are distant (pineapple mostly) and are overshadowed by these other things. Pine notes are woody, not flavorful, again fruit is almost absent. Earthy and dry. Creamy though. Come to think of it, the first can was glass-poured after the first lawn cut of Spring. It hit the spot then. I’d take this as a summer can to drink down after sweating. I think it’s somehow a little better that way.

Would I buy this again? Very likely. However, we are reaching a point - in Texas - where there are so many IPAs available, that everyone loses.

Meaning, I might buy this again, but it will be up against several other options.
