It’s German for “Yeast Wheat Beer”. We brew our Hefeweizen in the Bavarian tradition using the yeast from Weinstephan, the oldest brewery in Germany. This is an unfiltered, slightly cloudy, beer that features a strong stand of foam, a delicate round malt and wheat presence and finishes with no regrets. You might notice an aroma of banana and clove, you might not, not everyone sniffs their beer.

Wow! An amazingly good hefe from southern Illinois. It's a touch strong on the ester, tasting strongly of banana and bubblegum, but works really well with the flavors. Definitely worth a try if you are a hefeweizen fan.
