Poured from a can into a chalice at cellar temp. Color is dark brown. Lots of effervescence during the pour that produces a thin head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma is of lots of dark sweet fruit, cherries, figs, prunes.
Full bodied, with dark sweet fruit flavors and strong alcohol that come out first. Then strong rum barrel character hits the palate with a slight dry bitter finish.
Overall a pretty decent beer that would probably be better paired with some strongly flavored food rather than just on it's own.
