Poured from a 16oz can into a FFF DLD nonic pint glass. Pours a darker amber with almost two fingers of khaki colored foam head. Toasted biscuits from the malts on the nose. A little rye bread. This is one where the malt plays the lead role. Somewhat sweeter in taste than in aroma. Not overly sweet though. This is a really nice autumn ale. Full mouthfeel. Has some carbonation to it but also gets a little syrupy as it warms. Overall, very enjoyable. This isn’t a style I turn to often but when they’re done well I do enjoy them every once in a while.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear amber with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had a earthy pear scotch zest. The taste was very boozy and scotch lean. This is not overly easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall I'm not a big fan of this one.
