Collaboration with Lil Beaver Brewery
We hosted our friends from Lil Beaver brewery in Bloomington, Illinois and we decided to brew this decidedly breakfast themed strong ale. Built on a blend of our favorite British base malts, we added a touch of lactose for residual sweetness and 10 gallons of Vermont maple syrup, because who doesn’t like syrup with their breakfast!? Finally, we conditioned the beer on a big ol’ pile of Coffee Hound coffee beans.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear rich amber with no head and no lace. The scent had maple syrup flare. The taste was malt leaning with boozy finish. There was maple syrup base with light roast and boozy finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
