16oz can dated 03/06/19 and poured directly down my gullet.
Aromas of coconut, chocolate, and vanilla waft easily from the can and the flavors match. A pleasing mix of toasted coconut, chocolate, and vanilla without being too sweet, or candy-like. Just clean flavors.
Mouthfeel is full and creamy.
Overall a tasty imperial.

I had not heard of Triptych, but the label for this caught my eye at The Open Bottle. Glad I was feeling adventurous to try something new, because it's pretty great. Luxurious, full-bodied chocolate, vanilla, and relatively lighter coconut notes. Not a Mounds bar beer, not 100% overboard on the sweetness, but maybe 90% of the way there. I'm not a huge pastry stout fan, so I'm not experienced in other offerings to compare to, but I feel like this ought to hold its own against most entries. I would have liked a bit more toast on the coconut, and I'd be happy with a half-pint instead of the full can, but I'm glad to have the rest of the four-pack to share with others.

I really love this one. The coconut and vanilla are present in both the aroma and taste. Very smooth, quite possibly my favorite non-barrel aged stout.
