My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a can of this beer. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had cocoa nibs and toffee notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with vanilla/toffee up front....cardamom and cinnamon spice ar the finish....then mocha aftertaste. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of peppers, chocolate and cinnamon. Nice Mexican spices with sweet chocolate and toffee.

Intersection between a traditional stout and cutting edge brewing. Filled with traditional flavors cut with star anise and just a hint of spice. Interesting and good with subtle, yet pronounced surprises midway through the end.
