Brewed as a collaboration with our friends from the fledgling, still being formed Mead Masons meadery, we thought it would be fun to brew a hazy IPA using some raw wildflower honey. Fermented with London III yeast, and dry hopped with Sabro, Nelson and Columbus hops. We think this beer is very floral, but the Sabro bring a very interesting mix of citrus and creamy coconut in the finish.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had melon and stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with honeysuckle presence with a slightly bitter clean finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is another solid offering by Triptych.

Tallboy can. Label: Raw wildflower honey and Sabro hops, bottom of can born on 5/27/20 best before 8/27/20 (sampled 6/21/20). Another site: Collaboration with Mead Masons
Aroma: Tropical fruit (mango?), sweet malt, bready yeast.
Appearance: Very hazy yellow glass holds a solid quarter finger head of white foam that laces.
Taste: Full tropical fruit flavor with a sweet base, almost like fruit nectar. Some peach, mango, pear, orange, lots of fruit flavors, all seem hop driven, but "hazy" without any bitterness. I don't get any strong honey flavor, but the fruitiness is so strong it overpowers anything else that might be going on in here.
Mouthfeel: Medium heavy body, medium light carbonation, clean finish.
Overall: Not sure how they get so much fruitiness going, but they do. Very tasty beer, happy to have had the chance to try them out.
