We took the recipe for Velvet Feels but when we got to the part where we’d normally add more hops, we added cocoa nibs and coffee beans instead. Combined with a very dark roast coffee/espresso and our typical Madagascar vanilla bean (no vanilla extract here folks) treatment, the resulting beer is really decadent. Initially the aroma is creamy, vanilla-laced coffee but upon your first sip, you get an amazing full chocolate sensation on your palate. Smooth, silky sweetness chases the cocoa through the finish.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with no head and no lace. The scent had bright citrus at the start which then the cocoa and vanilla enter mid waif....which then blended in a bold fruit peel spice. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with creme de fruit peel spice base with milk chocolate cocoa and vanilla presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good and interesting beer.

I thought I bought a stout based on the ingredients. It's an Ale (yes it says it on the can) it's actually pretty good. The first few sips are confusing, after that it's actually really good. It's worth trying if you're never had it. It's unique!
