A West Coast inspired creation, CHURCH FOR BREWERS is an Imperial IPA, 9.3% alcohol by volume and filled to the brim with Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe and Cascade hops. Pine, grapefruit and a mild floral sweetness jump up from the glass, finishes with a firm but not overwhelming bitterness.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had dank tangerine and apricot notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and bitter apricot and peach peel presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Clear gold-amber with a tall khaki foam head that settles slowly in lumps, retaining well, leaving coral lacing on the glass.
This certainly features a classic West Coast bite of pine resin that's punchy and spicy, and not heavy or musty. Its evergreen musk rides alongside a bit of booze, coming across as slightly fiery, and much like Hop Juju.
Citrus zests accent the crisp medium body, while a hint of cracker comes out on the exhale.

16oz can, dated 02.11.2021, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass.
The beer pours a bright orange color, copper and amber hues with a nice foamy white head, about two fingers tall that offers good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is pleasant, lots of earthy and bitter hops, grapefruit peel, dank grassiness, resinous pine, a bit herbal, somewhat floral with a strong biscuit malt base and a touch of warming alcohol. The flavors are good, very bitter and piney, lots of earthy green raw hop, resinous, sticky, dank and grassy with a hint of wildflower, a bit "catty" at times, grapefruit peel, citrus juice, biscuit malt and warm booze. The mouthfeel is good, coating and lively medium body, crisp and vibrant with a dry finish.
Verdict: A nice west coast IPA from Triptych. Super bitter, fairly boozy yet crisp and clean with a nice balance. There is an element of "cattiness" that certainly shouts Simcoe but this is just a super resinous and earthy beer that delivers for my palate.
