Batch 900, a reimagined throwback to the original, pale malt based Dank Meme recipe, hopped with Citra plus a new fruity, tropical blend of hops from Yakima Chief Hops called CryoPop. Pale malt provides a full blanket of toasty malt character that we layered lots and lots of papaya, mango and orange/tangerine hop notes on top.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had ripe tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with stone and subtle apricot presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

An interesting and impressive collection of flavors, all over the top, yet with enough restraint for them to be not overpowering/excessive and still clearly discernible. This is a very good havy IPA. Significantly fruitier and less "dank" than their Indistinguishable from Magic, but in a similar vein (I think I like this better).
Pours a very dark off white to light beige colored foam that has excellent retention, fading long after average time to a thick ring around the perimeter of the glass and a thin film atop the body of the beer. Lacing is good, not great, with some small blotches and dots clinging to all sides of the glass. Body is dark golden yellow color, bordering on muddy orange, with light bringing out slightly more yellow hues. Opaque due to yeast/hops/malts.
Aroma is surprisingly very passionfruit-forward, perhaps the most obviously passionfruit smelling beer I've had (that doesn't contain the actual fruit). Supporting aromas are the typical citrus pairing of grapefruit, some orange, peach, and pineapple, along with an occasional hint of pale malt sweetness. Unfortunately, the passionfruit fades as the beer breathes, but it's still alright.
Flavor is very much like a pineapple-peach-orange-grapefruit juice including attendant creamy sweetness, with some light hop spice/burn, bitterness, and faint alcohol presence. Front: creamy-sweet pineapple with some citrus (grapefruit, touch of orange), peach, and light hop spice. Mid: creamy, milky-sweet pineapple and citrus fruit (particularly grapefruit) with touches of peach and orange; moderate hop spice/burn, bitterness, and a hint of alcohol Back: light hop spice/burn, fairly low hop bitterness, continued grapefruit, peach, and pineapple with some milky/creamy sweetness from hops and pale malt. After: medium-light lingering bitterness with light hop spice/burn, some residual citrus fruit, and a touch of pineapple.
Beer is medium to medium-heavy in body, with fairly low carbonation (~2.2 vol co2), resulting in a mostly smooth mouthfeel. closes dry, with medium stickiness on the lips.
