I got a tall boy can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear dark mahogany amber that had thin ecru head that left some lace. The scent had a bold rye and malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet caramel malt base bolstered by peat and rye presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

16 oz can, shared with Ian, into Ellipsis glass.
Canned 9/10/21
Dark brown with wonderful ruby and chestnut hints when held up to the light. Half finger of head, recedes to a ring leaving spotty lacing.
Aroma of citrus peels, brown malt, black malt, and slight burnt coffee.
Flavor is nutty brown malt, intertwined with lemon peel and grapefruit peel, strong perfumey pine, caramel, with a huge finish of bitter espresso.
Feel is resinous and roasty, no alcohol here really, clinging resins, moderate to heavy carbonation.
This was a seriously impressive brown ale. Hella hoppy, and hella delicious. This was my first Triptych beer and it did not disappoint. Wonderful.
