Dark cola brown color. Opaque, with a lovely thick 4-finger khaki head. Aroma is lovely with notes of pine, lightly roasted malt, and a hint of floral notes. Taste follows the nose with notes of lightly roasted malts, some pine, some sap, and a touch of floral notes. Feel is moderate to medium bodied, smooth, easy drinking. bright carbonation, but balanced. Overall a really nicely done black IPA. Would happily grab a 4-pack of this anytime it shows up.
