I got a tall boy can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear dark rich mahogany amber with thin off white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had malt, lactose, and grass. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet dark malt base with grain and grass presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. A tan head rises to over two fingers. Lace is left behind.
S: Light roast, baked bread, nutty malty aromas. Very nice.
T: Like the nose, that malt favor is the show. Ranging from light roast, baked bread and nutty, grainy. A bit more earthy hops in the finish.
M/O: A medium body with crisp carbonation. Clean, and finishes dry. An easy drinking dark lager.
Fairly simple, but on point Dark Lager. Nothing over the top, and just balanced and moreish. Which goes a long way in my book.

Poured into a pint glass. Pours black with a tan head that has some retention. Roasted malt, black licorice, and earthy aroma, albeit a bit subdued. The flavor is on point. Malty, with black licorice and roast coffee highlights. Also a nice spicy herbal bite from the Czech Saaz hops round it out. A good black lager.
