On tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a dark brown with ruby red highlights. A small beige head forms, but recedes to nothing in a minute. Light lace.
S: Roasted malt, a bit of smoke, sweet chocolate, and dark fruits.
T: The roasted malt is up front. Then a dark fruit, kind of cherry sweetness. Not the smooth, rounded flavors I want from an Oatmeal Stout. More sharp than I was expecting.
M/D: A medium body and moderate carbonation. Thin and watery. This is not nearly as smooth as the style should be. Easy to drink if you have to. Though not much to keep me interested.
Another, just ho hum, slightly below average offering. Not even close to the better Oatmeal Stouts out there.
