Look: dark brown in color with a short head that falls apart quickly.
Smell: roasted aroma with bits of chocolate and coffee, and some alcohol comes through to the nose.
Taste: big roasted malt flavor, coffee, dark chocolate, moderate bitterness, and some warming alcohol.
Mouthfeel: heavy in body. Smooth from start to finish, Long lasting aftertaste.
Overall: a good slow sipping bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.

6/14/2014 - The growler I brought home was a HUGE disappointment compared to the glass I got on the 9th.
Poured into a pint glass a very nice black color, nice carbonation, with a nice super thick one-finger plus creamy tan head, which lasts forever, and some thick sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate notes, slightly roasty, slight vanilla note. The taste is malty, with some dark notes thrown in, nice roastyness, again slight vanilla note. Medium body, ABV hidden very well. Overall this Impy kicked ass. Way to go Dave!

A: Pitch black with a light tan nitro head that seemed to last a good while and settled as a cap on top.
S: Big chocolate notes with roasted coffee beans.
T: Dark chocolate and strong black coffee. Reminds me a little of a scoop of rich chocolate ice cream in a cup of good coffee.
M: Full bodied and very creamy finish.
O: Wonderful imperial stout. I wish this had been available in bottles so I could have taken some home.
