Appearance: hazy copper color with a 1" head that fell pretty quickly. No lacing develops.
Smell: nice malt sweetness, pepper, and yeast tones are easily detectable.
Taste: mildly fruity, pepper spice, yeast, caramel, and a mellow malt base made up a pretty tasty belgian style beer. Alcohol was not noticeable at all and bitterness was mellow.
Mouthfeel: surprisingly short aftertaste. Medium bodied. Crisp at the start, mildly crisp and a tad dry at the finish.
Drinkability: nicely drinkbable as this is not a malt or alcohol bomb. Pretty decent version of the belgian style.

Sampled on-tap at The Draft House in April 2006.
This Belgian Strong Ale poured a slightyly hazy, golden color with white foam that settled but coated the glass. The smell was modest with some Belgian malt in the aroma. The taste was sweet with the typical flavor of a Belgian pale ale. There seemed to be the flavor of candy sugar. There was a mild hoppiness. The mouthfeel was smooth and sweet with medium body and good carbonation. The malty flavors lingered on the palate. This was a good, tasty Belgian-style ale.
