Tripel Dog Dare is brewed as a Belgian Style Tripel. We used traditional specialty imported hops and barley to replicate this iconic Belgian beer. The beer will pour golden and crisp and will have a collection of aromas, including citrus, banana, and spice. You will notice a clean and floral hop character, along with an assertive bitterness. Our Tripel will have a medium-light mouthfeel and will have a touch of sweetness.

Tasted on tap at the brewhouse in Las Vegas. Had too much wit-like aroma and flavor to be a great example of tripel. It seemed more like a classic Grand Cru.

Appearance: golden yellow with a 1/4" head that breaks down quickly.
Smell: light belgian yeast flavor and some citrus comes through to the nose.
Taste: grainy malt base with some lemon zest, pepper, and a mildly spicy belgian yeast flavor. Decent bitterness and alcohol is mildly noticeable.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp at the start, less crisp at the finish.
Overall: a decent tripel that is mellow in flavor but hits the spot.

Feels like a lighter tasting Tripel, despite a 9% abv. No bold flavoring, no big finish, but totally supportive of New World brewers tackling Old World styles. Keep working it BIg Dog.
