Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This beer looks almost identical to the Leglifter. Pale clear yellow-golden color with a thin and fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Light stale malt and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with weak malt and grassy hops flavor with grain in the background. The finish is malt and fruit with faint lingering hops. Slightly below average overall.

Pours a very typical pale yellow color with a bit of froth which laces the glass like no other beer in the line-up.
Aroma is pleasent with a grainy scent being the most noticeable.
Taste is true to style but not the best kolsch ever, a sweet brew that almost reaches macro type status but the harshness never shows its self, saving this beer from a bad review.
Mouthfeel is comparible to ice water, maybe a bit more weight, but only a bit.
Which is why it is so drinkable, after work I don't want something heavy on the stomach. This is a great brew during happy hour after a day in the sun.

After trying this and the light beer they offer, I couldn't tell which was which. Both very light yellow in color, and with light flavors. some apple juice like sweetness and very mild flavors otherwise. Boring, and indistiguishable from their light beer side by side...

Sampled on-tap at the brewpub.

This Kolsch style ale poured a clear, golden color with creamy, white-white foam which settled slowly and clung to the glass, leaving lacing. The smell was a dry, malty, grain aroma, very typical of a Kölsch. The taste was clean and malty with good hop balance to the light body, and the hops built to the finish. The mouthfeel was clean and crisp with medium-light body and strong carbonation. The finish left a moderate hoppiness lingering. This was a good, authentic tasting Kölsch. Nice.
