Tasted on tap at the drafthouse.
Beautiful stout with tan head and some lacing. Aromas are muddled, with roast grains and orange peel discernible. Flavors are like an orange creamsicle, interesting, but where is the Imperial Stout? Medium body, moderate carbonation. Hops bitterness doesn’t stand out, but it’s not overly sweet either. Overall, this beer is disappointing to me because the flavor additions obscure what should be a huge, assertive beer, but the base beer has been lost behind the special additions.
