9/29/24 (The Silver Stamp) (Las Vegas, NV). $8 16 oz draft served in a shaker pint. 5.4% ABV. Rauchbier, collaboration between Big Dog & Juxta Nomad.
Appearance: Chestnut Brown clear base, nominal carbonation, thin lacing and cover over the base. 3.5
Aroma: Nice smokey, smoked sausage, a bit of maple. Medium level, enticing. 4.0
Taste: Smokey flavor, lighter than the aroma. Sweeter and maltier than expected, no hop balance. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Faint to no carbonation, lightly dry, sweeter than expected, light and easy drinking, smokey finish. 3.25
Overall: This is an average selection, missed out on the aspects of a rauchbier I really enjoy and too malty. 3.25
