This hybrid beer is a refreshing mix of an India Pale Ale and Kolsch. Combining the yeast and malts from a Kolsch and the hops from an IPA, Raindrops will leave you smiling!!

I have tried pretty much every style, and I know a well-made beer when I taste it. Sadly, most are disappointing. This Pine Street Braindrops is the first hybrid India Pale/Kolsch I've tried. It is superb! The ale/lager yeast combination presents a very smooth, well balanced, and unique hop/malt taste. I'm getting notes of dry grapefruit-like citrus, with just enough bitterness. I'd put the IBU's somewhere in the high 60's. I am a fan!

Really nice golden/orange pouring from can, small head forming.
Really nice smell of citrus as I bring the glass up for a sniff.
Taste is really hard to describe, is there Sorachi hops in this??
As In finishing this beer it no longer smells that hoppy.
Tough one to rate, pretty easy to drink, def not worth the premium price, think it was $10.99 for a 6-pack at Whole foods Potrero/SF, Easy Jack or most Sierra Nevada is $8.00 a 6-pack around town
