We visited Trophy on 2/05/16. We made the mistake of going on a Friday evening. It was really packed. After a little waiting we were able to get a table. The beer was decent, but the pizza was awesome.

Vibe is eh. Very small - capacity might be 50 people. Really needed some organization as people were just standing and it was unsure if they were waiting for to go orders or for a table. Beer selection is pretty weak - 5-6 of their beers and 2 guest taps. Beer styles were varied and creative. DIPA was fantastic but the others were mediocre. Food is above average but like the beer I bet they take more pride in being 'unique' rather than being 'great'. My scores probably make it look like I didn't enjoy my visit, but I'd go back. They know how to brew great beer, I just wish they had more options and that the rest of the experience was improved.

Trophy is located at the end of a strip mall - look for the crowds and the picnic tables. Inside is a cramped bar area - also surrounded by crowds and college kids. It is a busy place what with families and thirsty folk looking to enjoy themselves. Trophy offers a very satisfying array of styles all done right and served correctly. Along with growlers, you might even grab (buy, I mean) one of their tulip glasses for home quaffing.

They also serve pizza. (Though, a full lunch at Natty Greene's prevented me from trying it.) Raleigh is definitely a North Carolina Beer Destination!

My friends and I hit these guys up late on a Saturday night looking for some good beer and pizza. Trophy didn't disappoint on either.

The crowd was overflowing into the parking lot picnic area and it was SRO inside the taproom. After hugging the wall for 15-20 we were able to snag some seats at the bar.

The 6 beers on tap were all fantastic, with 2 of them being barrel-aged goodness. I also really enjoyed the DIPA and the smoked Berliner Weisse. The pizza was just a simple pepperoni but it was really good, almost Brooklyn style, which I happen to love.

Overall, a really cool joint with excellent beer and za. Highly recommended, just maybe not around 9pm on a Saturday.

The place was packed for a Wednesday night and jumping. Drinks were good, we were lucky to get a table. Pizza was very good and different with the topping choices.

This place is SMALL. So going here on a Saturday night, expect to wait awhile. You seat yourself and there is no host. So any table is up for grabs. The pizza is great and the beer is too. Because it was so busy, it took forever to get the pizza. I wasn't in any rush and was just enjoying their beer so it didn't matter to me. I know for some, however, it'd be frustrating.

If you are looking for a place to hang out for several hours, eat, and drink...this is the place. But, it's not the best social setting given the space. Probably other places in Raleigh with similar quality of food/beer in a larger setting.

Worst brewpub I've ever been to. It's a complete cluster f#ck! There is no host. So you have to stand around waiting for someone to get up if you want a table. My wife & I waited about 45 min. The bartender was rude. When I asked what beers they had, he pointed to a list on the wall across the room from us. Unable to see, I asked if they had a stout. He said all they had was what was listed. We'll NEVER go back. There are too many place in Raleigh with better food, better beer & much better ambience & service!

Stop #431 on my world brewery tour.

Around 7 on a Sunday night. Not much going on. Smaller place with large front patio. No TV at least that I could see from my seat at the bar (might have been one around the corner).

(Fancy) pizzas and salads for food. Looked good.

Had a flight of all beers...
Berliner Weiss
Citra Saison which was very nice
Smoked Saison
Cask Marzen Mosaic (needed more Mosaic)
DIPA which was nice and dry

Bartender said they were always rotating beers so I imagine you would get something different on a regular basis. I really liked the beers, just wish they had a couple of more on tap. They did have a guest tap of Big Boss Fest Beer.

Great little place. Nano brewery so the beers go fast but they are good. The space itself is a little cramped though. They do some great local colabs also. The pizza is pretty amazing. Up and coming brewery in the Raleigh area. They only do drafts and growlers unfortunately and the growlers are only 32 ounces.

Located near the prison in downtown Raleigh. A impressive little neighborhood st. Next to a laundry mat which can be convenient.

They had six beer offerings. Most memorable was the Berliner Weiss.

We did not have food but they did have a very nice kitchen for such a small place and the pizza the people next to us were eating was looking damn good.

Location has inside and outside seating and can be open air when the climate is right.

Very clean and unique friendly staff that was well educated about the products and quite humorous.

Would recommend a visit highly.

Went on a Friday shortly after they opened and sat at the bar. This is a good place for both beer and food as I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza but it gets expensive with the add-ons. Bartender was nice to talk to and kept the beer coming. Only knocks on this place are the limited selection, as they have only five of their own beers on tap and one guest tap, and the flight system. By that I mean they offer up five beers of their own but only four come in a flight, meaning I had to get a pint of the one I really wanted to try (good business tactic but bad for me). Other than those quibbles this is a place worth going to.

Here on a Saturday afternoon, and it is packed. Luck of the draw getting seating, but we lucked out, and it did seem like there was a fairly quick turnover. Huge, long bar, with some a few high-top tables indoors, and if you duck out through the back door there is some additional table seating out there. It appears outdoor seating is also available on warmer weather days. Tons of trophies adorn the walls, which is a pretty nifty shtick. They had 4 beers on-tap of their own, with one guest tap. I believe they have up to 6 or 8 normally. Growlers are available to take beer home. The menu is mostly pizza, with some salads and apps available, also. The pizzas we got were amazing. Tons of local ingredients, great crust, and everything is fresh. Our server was very helpful and friendly, and she knew her shit about the beers, too. All in all, great place to go if you can get in, and while it's a bit pricey, it's absolutely worth it.

Trophy looks like shit from the outside, but is vibrant on the inside.

* Really good pizza - think small and artisan with eclectic ingredients. You could pick one at random and probably be happy

* Good music. May have been ipod-curated the whole time. A little heavy on the Haim for my taste. Haim sucks. Otherwise, great.

* Pretty small taplist, but interesting stuff. The White Elephant was pretty solid as was the trophy wife 2.0

* Cool glassware, hipster staff, funky decor

Cool place
