Pours rust-red in color. Thin off white head that does not last. A small amount of lacing. Very slight yeast or white bread crust. Gassy pine flavor and just a hint of fig. Maybe some dark cherries. Mouth feel is medium. Overall a well crafted Irish style red ale. I liked this better than Abita.

Pours a nice Amber with an off white head.
Smells of sweet malt, some floral and herbal hops.
Sweet roasted bready malt up front with a slight astringement herbal hop in the back. A decent red ale.

12 oz bottle. Deep hazy red pour, finger off-white head fades to a lasting ring, little lace. Mild caramel malt aroma. Nice clean toasty malt flavor, not overly sweet, soft edges. Solid grassy pine bitterness takes over mid sip and lasts. Well-balanced red ale. Medium soft feel with a crisp dry finish. Nice job with this one.

Chafunkta Bayou Blaze has a thin, bone-colored head, a hazy or murky, rust-red appearance, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is subdued, but the drinker might pick up sweet malt and a hint of fig. Taste is of tannin, medium-roasted malt, sweetness, brown bread crust, and very mellow hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Bayou Blaze finishes medium dry and easy going.
