Definitely needs cellar temperatures -- it did get a better as it warmed up, but not for long enough to give it a proper review (still found it disappointing though).

500 ml bottle from Whole Foods. Poured a hazy yellow/gold with a small white head. Thin lacing. Aroma is sweet grains, spiced hops and grass. Taste of sweet biscuit malt with lemon and apple overtones and mild hops bitterness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Fairly crisp. Pleasant, easy drinking.

Appearance: Light straw color. White head of a fairly decent size but doesn't last too long.
Smell: Mmmm... hops! Nice grassy smell. Very discrete floral undertones play hide-and-seek with my nose.
Taste: Medium hoppy bitterness without becoming too aggressive, balanced by malts (the "biscuity" label given by the previous reviewer is right to the point.- I know I shouldn't do that...)
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, but without feeling "watery". Refreshing to the max. Carbonation just enough to make it interesting.
Drinkability: Gimme more! These beers should only come in six-packs. I am writing to complain...

.5L, Germany, best by 4/11.
I'm adding this beer because I believe it is different from the Ur Pils. Slightly less alcohol, and a filtered appearance.
Clear, effervescent gold with a decent head and very good lacing.
Dank, aromatic noble hops. Nice.
Flavor is well-balanced, with a better malt flavor than most Pils: lightly biscuity and bready. Hops add a vegetal earthiness and spicy quality, along with only a moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and light, with medium-low carbonation. Clean finish with a lingering light maltiness. Drinks like a dream.
A very good Pils, much better than that of the bigger German breweries.
