From a 500ml bottle, poured into a Pokal.
The head dissipates quickly, and leaves very little slippery lacing.
A straw colored and light bodied beer with a toasty malt flavor up front, and a mild hops bitterness that balances and keeps the finish dry.
Traditional Pilsner malt and hops are a little on the subtle side, but not bad.

I had this on draft 8/20/24 @ Laschet's Inn.

Cloudy dull orange rust appearance.

Big, bright white head; frothy lacing remained.

White bread, honey & faint floral notes in the nose.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Honey & white bread flavors up front; floral dryness on the finish. Sharper pine notes emerged as this warmed.

This has as many Helles attributes as Pilsner, but at the end of the glass, I enjoyed it.

Pours almost clear with slight haze, bright golden color with minimal head and little lacing. Smells like sweet bread, very appetizing, taste has a high floor but leaves you wanting more. Very drinkable and solid all around. Great mouth feel with subtle carbonation

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Dating is not an easy thing to figure out.

Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with an inch of foam and lacing is good.

The smell is typical German Pils smell. Hoppy, noble like, decent malty aromas. Cracker...

The taste is the same as the smell but to me, not as intense. Good hoppy smack at first but shrinks after a few sips. Cracker malt seems to hold its own.

Good mouthfeel, good Pils. I might buy it again.

This is a solid German Pils.

Considering Pilsner is a Czech beer first brewed in Plzen by a Bavarian brewer, German "pilsners" are a bit of a misnomer. Personally, I am a huge Czech Pilsner and lager fan.

Most German pilsner-style beers are böring AF. They are plain in color and taste, unmemorable, but they do quench the thirst.

Pinkus Ur-Pils is a very nice exception to this general rule. Very refreshing with quite a bit of character and a gorgeous color.

A solid 5 in my book.

Bottle Date Stamp: 90179N1

A - Medium gold color with slight haziness and a thin layer of creamy white head resting on top, nice vibrant carbonation.

S - Honey malt with some yeastiness and juniper.

T - Biscuity honey malt base at the start and midway through an earthy bitterness slowly builds for a nicely balanced finish with a lingering earthy, pine bitterness over top of biscuity sweet malt.

M - Medium body with gentle, prickly carbonation.

O - A little on the malty side but nice finishing bitterness to scrub some of the sweetness away.

Different from most Pilsners. Great flavor, but a little thin in the body. Bread comes through, and citrus on the finish. Refreshing for a warm day and more complexity in the flavor than a lot of Pilsners.

Citrus, hops, malt, bread - a little bit of everything. Light. Mediocre - not bad, yet nothing's remarkable.
