Copenhagen 2/12 2018. 33 cl bottle from Vinbørsen, Kbh Ø. Green label with huge Hop Cone. As "{C} SMASH Liège P.A. (Mosaic)".

Pours hazy orange with medium-sized white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.

Aroma has light odor of exotic fruit like peach and pineapple. Stronger citric bitterness dominating. Light fermented touch.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, prickly and lively texture.

Flavor is medium sweet balanced by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and bitter. Lingers for a bit.

Fresh and very American-style Belgian.

I found this one while driving home from work. I stopped at a supermarket in Rocourt, close to Liège for lunch and was smart enough to check the beer section as well. They had some local brews, this being one of them.

Bottle reads: "Smash {C} is a generously hopped beer brewed from a single malt and a single hop (mosaic)..."
A larger head clings proudly to the glass
Smell is very floral (is this a bouquet?) with hints of citrus and something grainy sweet (reminds me of Grany Moelleux).
Flavour is a delicate going toghether of dry bitter hops with creamy fresh malt and cereal biscuits.
Aftertaste is herb bitter with milk chocolate and jaffa cake.
Mouthfeel is creamy, more so in the aftertaste.

My only critique is that it's a bit on the sweet side for me. But nevertheless very enjoyable.

I had never heard of brasserie C before, although, after looking it up on line, I know where it is and remember years ago contemplating having lunch there. Not knowing it was a brewery/restaurant at the time. I sure regret that decision now, because this is an excellent second in a row.
