A very dark brown pour doesn't yield any sort of head or lacing. Nose gets some banana, caramel and ash/smoke. Oak is noticeable on the taste buds, a bit of coffee, maybe some Belgian yeast that I dislike. Medium bodied, zero carbonation, not my favorite Impy Stout.

Taste: oak, woody esters, smokey, big boozy notes, molasses, barley malt, sticky finish. Same with the nose. Black/brown, opaque, dark brown head, delicate lace head. Full body. 55 IBUs

2017 vintage; drank 8/22/17 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A nice tan head; decent lace.
Fresh earth, banana, caramel, mild booze heat & faint strawberry notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Fresh earth & banana flavors up front; mild caramel & faint strawberry notes on the finish. Mild booze heat emerged as this warmed.
An interesting diversion, but this was too thin & too yeast-y (hello banana) for me to truly love.
