Day 16 of the 2018 advent calendar.
I didn't have high hopes for this beer, and it didn't exceed my hopes.
It was pale yellow, fizzy, fruit on the nose and in the aftertaste.
A decent enough beer, I suppose, but I tired quickly of it.

330ml bottle - day 16 of the 2018 Craft Beer Advent Calendar, a collaboration with fellow Italian brewer Panil, and made with passion fruit and Motueka hops.
This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, rocky, and bubbly dirty white head, which leaves some stellar patchy snow rime lace around the glass as it lazily sinks out of sight.
It smells of exotic passion fruit flesh, grainy and bready cereal malt, muddled domestic citrus peel, some stoney flintiness, and very tame earthy, leafy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy wheat malt, passion fruit, indistinct citrus peel, a mild estery yeastiness, some damp minerality, earthy cloves, and more understated weedy, floral, and herbal hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-buoying frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth, with a touch of hop acridity maybe not making nice with the locals here. It finishes off-dry, the frooty and malty essences in a lingering tango.
Overall - well, White Pony sure picked the right partner to produce this offering, because it is rather good. The passion fruit and citrusy hops work together seamlessly, creating a pleasant quaff, to say the least. Not really Hefe-like, but that's just splitting hairs at this point.
