have noticed a smell of alcohol in the nose and in my mouth, too obvious. In addition, there has been a lack of strength in the density of water and in the mouth. Little taste trail

Picked this up at Rosses I Torrades in Barcelona, Spain. Pitch black pour with a creamy one finger beige head that faded quickly with minimal lacing. The nose is roasty and boozey with hints of espresso, cocoa, subtle hoppiness, and a touch of smoke. The taste is roasty as well with a bit more smoke than in the nose along with hints of licorice, booze, espresso, chocolate fudge, cocoa, leather, molasses, toffee, and subtle hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and a subtle, slightly boozey warming finish. Overall, this is a solid RIS with good flavor and decent drinkability.

330ml bottle- brought from “Ist Feria de Sant Feliu”. Snifter glass. Enjoyed on jul´13. Pours very dark brown in color, deep ruby hues to the light. Headed by beige froth showing fairly good retention. Some spots are left on sides. Hints of licorice, dark malt & roasted barley aromas, sugar & ripe fig notes as well as bitter cocoa & herbs to the nose. Roasted malt upfront rounded by hints of coffee&milk, slight brown sugar & subtle spicy touch. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Creamy & velvet palate. Oily texture. Dried nut astringency & gentle citric in the middle. Kind warming sensation as well. Underneath bitter river flews & lingers into a long sweet/bitter finish , black cocoa-like. Hints of fudge chocolate & coffee on the aftertaste. Pleasant drinkability.
