Pours a cloudy amber color with an immediately disappearing head.
The nose got a nice herbal hop aroma to it, together with a wet straw quality and white bread dough, revealing a pleasant, coppery sweetness.
Carbonation level in this is very high, turning a little harsh during the finish, making the beer also a tad too mineral heavy, apart from its otherwise refreshing, light body.
Tastes of soft yeast, almost a little spicy, with a rich wheat foundation and a noble hop dryness, which at first lends a refreshing crispness to the flavors. Finishes sweet, with toffee and clove, while being heavy on stony minerals.
Tastes more like a classic Belgian saison to me than the ancestor of a Kölsch. A tad too unbalanced while this remains its ability to create a nice refreshing appearance.
