Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a large, fkuffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of tangerine and papaya, as well as just a hint of pine. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, caramel malt and fruity, slighty herbal and resinous hops, with citrus and tropical notes of tangerine, papaya and mango, as well as just a hint of pine coming through as well. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some tangerine and papaya lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
This makes for a pretty nice Session IPA with a good body and mouthfeel for the style, as well as being rather flavorful for the ABV, with some quite fruity, almost juicy citrus and tropical notes coming through, giving a certain New England feel to this, but nicely balanced by some bitter and resinous accents. An easy-drinking, refreshing and flavorful example of the style that makes for great summer drinking.
