Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a tiny, fizzy head. Smells of biscuity, doughy malt and not much else, really, really faint notes of tangerine and peach in there, I guess. Taste is a decent balance of biscuity, doughy malt and fruity, slightly grassy and floral hops, with citrus and lighter berry notes of tangerine and strawberry. Finishes with a light bitterness and some faint tangerine and peach lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I should have known better than to purchase a Milkshake IPA from Ale-Mania. While they make some really nice beers, they just do not do these modern styles well at all and should probably stop bothering, to be honest. While this makes for a decent brew overall, it just has very little in common with a MIlkshake IPA, just completely lacking that vibrant fruitiness, creamy mouthfeel and lactose sweetness. The peach puree and lactose are barely noticeable here and while that is not necessarily a bad thing generally speaking, if you label your beer a "Milkshake IPA", you better deliver on it. It's pretty drinkable as a generic IPA, with some nice citrus/berry notes and decent bitterness but just has notjing in common with a MIlkshake IPA
